Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 G95SJ overview
Samsung unveiled the G95SJ on stage at Gamescom 2026 in Cologne as part of its 2027 Odyssey monitor lineup. It is aimed at players who want a super-ultrawide field of view without dropping to a lower refresh rate. Earlier Odyssey OLED G9 models, such as the G95SD, topped out at 240Hz. The G95SJ raises the native Dual QHD refresh rate to 360Hz and adds a Dual Mode path to 720Hz.
SamMobile reports that the G95SJ uses a 49-inch curved 32:9 screen. Samsung’s own announcement focuses on Dual QHD resolution, 360Hz speed, Dual Mode, and the fifth-generation QD-OLED panel rather than listing a curvature rating.

Dual Mode: Dual QHD 360Hz or Dual HD 720Hz
The G95SJ is a Dual Mode ultrawide. Samsung says players can stay in 5120 x 1440 at 360Hz for a wide, high-resolution view, or switch to 2560 x 720 at up to 720Hz when they want maximum motion clarity. The 0.03ms GtG response time is listed for both cinematic and competitive use.
Fifth-generation QD-OLED, Penta Tandem, and RGB Stripe
Samsung describes the panel as a five-layer Penta Tandem QD-OLED structure. The company says that stack is up to 1.3 times more efficient and can last up to twice as long as the previous generation. The RGB Stripe subpixel layout is intended to reduce color fringing and improve text clarity compared with earlier QD-OLED layouts that used a triangular subpixel arrangement.
Samsung also quotes a peak brightness of up to 1,300 nits on a 3% window. That figure is tied to DisplayHDR True Black 500 test conditions in Samsung’s footnote; final HDR certification for the retail G95SJ has not been published yet.
