Nikon has officially announced the Nikon Z5IIC, a compact, screen-first full-frame Z-mount body based on the Z5II. According to the September 24, 2026 Nikon release and the Nikon USA press room, the “C” stands for casual: it keeps the Z5II’s 24.5MP full-frame BSI sensor and EXPEED 7 processor, but omits the viewfinder for a flat-top, bag-friendly design and monitor-only shooting.

Nikon Z5IIC pricing and availability
Nikon announced the Z5IIC on September 24, 2026. U.S. suggested prices from the Nikon USA release:
- Body only (Black or Silver): $1,399.95
- Kit with NIKKOR Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3: $1,699.95
- Soft bundles with the NIKKOR Z 26mm f/2.8 pancake or 40mm f/2, through various retailers
Nikon USA lists availability in mid-October 2026. Nikon UK already shows the Z5IIC from £1,349. The existing Z5II stays on sale. Compact full-frame allocations can sell through quickly, so watch more than one authorized dealer.

What changed versus the Nikon Z5II
The April 2025 Z5II launched at $1,699.95 body-only with the same 24.5MP BSI sensor class, EXPEED 7, 7.5-stop VR, 14 fps, 4K 60 (DX crop), N-RAW, and EN-EL15c — plus a conventional EVF hump and a 3.69-million-dot / 3000 cd/m² finder. The Z5IIC drops the finder, shortens the body from 100.5 mm to 80.5 mm tall, and cuts weight from 700 g to 620 g with battery and card.
Other confirmed differences: the rear screen is a 1.04-million-dot 3.2-inch panel (the Z5II uses about 2.1 million dots), subject detection adds Fish as a tenth type, and the mode dial gets Nikon’s first full-frame scene modes. The Z5IIC is the screen-first / everyday-carry sibling, not a stacked-sensor or EVF-hump replacement for the Z5II.
