Samsung Odyssey OLED G7 G75SJ overview
Samsung unveiled the G75SJ on stage at Gamescom 2026 in Cologne. Unlike the new 32-inch Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SJ) and 49-inch Odyssey OLED G9 (G95SJ), this G7 is not positioned as a QD-OLED speed flagship. It is a large 16:9 curved 4K OLED for RPG and open-world games, with a 1,000 mm curve radius that pulls the edges closer to the viewer’s line of sight.
Samsung calls it a 4K OLED panel. SamMobile reports that the G75SJ uses a standard OLED panel, likely from LG Display, while the G8 and G9 use Samsung Display QD-OLED. Samsung has not named the panel supplier in its own announcement.

Why the 42-inch 1000R curve matters
Most 42-inch OLED monitors are flat TV-style 16:9 panels. Samsung is putting a tight 1000R curve on that size, which it says is a category first. The company is targeting cinematic single-player games more than esports: 4K detail and a wraparound view, not the 360Hz-class refresh rates on the new G8 and G9.
Glare Free is listed for daytime play. Samsung says it reduces reflections from external light sources so the large curved panel stays usable in a bright room.
How the G75SJ compares with the new G8 and G9
The G75SJ is the size and immersion option in the 2027 OLED trio:
- Odyssey OLED G7 G75SJ: 42-inch 16:9 curved 4K OLED, 165Hz, 1000R
- Odyssey OLED G8 G80SJ: 32-inch 4K QD-OLED, native 360Hz, Triple Mode up to 680Hz
- Odyssey OLED G9 G95SJ: 49-inch Dual QHD QD-OLED, native 360Hz, Dual Mode up to 720Hz
Samsung has not published ports, brightness, or adaptive-sync certifications for the G75SJ. Those details are confirmed on the G80SJ, but not in the G7 announcement.
