Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 G80SJ overview
Samsung introduced the G80SJ on-screen during its Gamescom 2026 keynote, alongside the 49-inch Odyssey OLED G9 (G95SJ) and 42-inch Odyssey OLED G7 (G75SJ). It replaces the 2026 Odyssey OLED G8 G80SH in the 32-inch 4K slot. The older G80SH ran 4K at 240Hz with DisplayHDR True Black 500. The G80SJ moves to native 4K 360Hz, Triple Mode, and DisplayHDR TrueBlack 600.
SamMobile describes the G80SJ as a 32-inch flat 4K display. That matches Samsung’s positioning of the G8 as a 32-inch UHD OLED rather than a curved ultrawide.

The G80SJ is Samsung’s Triple Mode 32-inch OLED. Native mode is UHD / 4K at 360Hz for high-detail games and desktop use. Players can drop to QHD at 520Hz or FHD at 680Hz when they want more frames for competitive play. Samsung says the choice can follow the game, GPU, and performance settings rather than locking the monitor to one refresh rate.
Glare Free, TrueBlack 600, and connectivity
Samsung Glare Free is listed for the G80SJ as a way to cut reflections during daytime play. The HDR target is VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 600, a step up from True Black 500 on the previous 32-inch OLED G8. Samsung notes that the VESA badge, plus FreeSync Premium Pro and G-SYNC Compatible certification, will be completed at product launch rather than at announcement.
The G80SJ is the only one of the three new OLED models with a published port list so far: DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR20, two HDMI ports, USB-C with 98W Power Delivery, a two-port USB hub, and KVM. That makes it the most desktop-dock friendly of the new OLED trio on paper, especially for laptop setups that want a single-cable connection.
